Snodgrass & Sons Construction Company finished the shelled space on three separate floors for Berkshire Hathaway Pen Fed Realty and Security 1st Title Company at the existing Hinkle Law Building at The Waterfront. The spaces renovated are on the 1st, 6th and 7th floors and consist of newly built Offices, Conference Rooms, Kitchens and Reception Areas. The renovation consists of high-end modern finishes catering to today’s real-estate business culture including level 5 drywall finishes, glass curtain-wall office fronts, granite counters, crown molding and high-end LED light fixtures. The 6th floor boasts a 28’ full glass operable wall that opens up a large meeting room to a kitchen and allows for large gatherings and events. Snodgrass meticulously coordinated and planned the layout of this operable wall to miss the existing post-tensioned cabling in the floor slab. At the southwest corner of the 6th floor is a “masters-of-the-industry” conference room overlooking The Waterfront and Wichita skyline with an illuminated rotunda ceiling cloud. Access controls were incorporated into the project to allow for secure and easy access for agents.
Snodgrass faced many unique challenges with the project such as working inside of an occupied space and coordinating with existing Tenants well in advance to minimize any disturbances that may occur during the renovation. Snodgrass coordinated the crane lifts necessary for getting building materials that would not fit in the existing elevator high-up to the 6th and 7th Floors.
